School Ninja (also written SchoolNinja) is a free archive of past exam papers for GCSE, A Level, IGCSE and International A Level, with the other qualifications it holds listed on the qualifications page. School Ninja in numbers

Counted from the live site on 21 October 2026.

  • 56,183 past papers. 52,474 of them (93%) have their official mark scheme.
  • 16,455 papers for UK GCSE, AS and A Level from AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and Eduqas, across 575 courses.
  • 978 courses in 99 subjects from 7 exam boards, at GCSE, IGCSE, AS, A Level and International A Level.
  • 21,396 examiner reports, plus 15,890 inserts and 8,545 grade boundary documents.
  • 49,281 single exam questions, split out of 4,807 papers. 98.8% show the mark scheme right under the question.
  • 34,951 questions matched to a numbered point in the exam board's own specification, across 67 courses and 1,528 topics.
  • 19 courses with a Foundation and Higher switch, including AQA GCSE Maths (8300), AQA Combined Science (8464) and Edexcel GCSE Maths (1MA1).
  • Papers from 2001 to June 2026. A typical course has 8 exam sittings; the longest has 61.

Filed by the course you actually take

Every paper is filed under the exam board's own course code, like AQA 8300 or Edexcel 1MA1, not just a subject name. Two courses with the same name at one board get two separate pages. If we do not know a course's code, we show no code rather than guess one.

Past paper questions by topic

For 67 courses, School Ninja splits past papers into single questions and matches each one to a numbered point in the board's specification. You can practise every past question on one topic on one page, with the mark scheme under each question. On tiered GCSEs you can show Foundation or Higher questions only. The topic names come straight from 81 of the exam boards' own specification documents.

Every split is checked before it goes live. A paper that fails a check stays as the whole paper. If a question looks wrong, use "Report a problem with this question" so we can check it.

Where the papers come from

Question papers, mark schemes and examiner reports are published by the awarding bodies: Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC, Eduqas and OxfordAQA. A paper is read from the board's own website wherever the board still publishes it, and otherwise from a copy of the board's paper held by another public past paper archive. The papers stay the boards' work; see copyright.
