When are past papers released?
A paper being missing here usually means the board has not published it yet. Boards give their papers to schools first and open them to everyone later, and each board sets its own wait. This is what each one says, with its own page linked.

AQA
- November 2025 (GCSE resits) and January 2026 (Level 3 Certificate, Applied General and Entry Level Certificate - not GCSE or A level) both reach the public site on 30 October 2026.
- Summer 2026 papers reach the public site on 9 July 2027.
- Most papers stay on the public site for three years.

Pearson Edexcel
- Papers are restricted to teachers for about 9 to 12 months: the publication policy (v2.3, August 2026) says the first 12 months, and the past-papers page says nine months.
- Summer papers are opened to everyone the following August.

OCR
- After exams are taken, papers go to Teach Cambridge for schools and colleges to use for mock exams. OCR: "Around 14 months later, we make them available on our public website to support student revision."
- A June paper reaches the public site in early August of the following year.
- OCR: "Past papers are available on our website for five years*." Its own footnote: "* The five year rule does not apply to all Maths and Science GCSEs, AS and A Levels."
WJEC
- June papers are made public between 1 and 31 July of the following year.
- November papers between 1 and 31 December of the following year, and January papers between 1 and 28 February of the following year.
- Papers are kept for the life of the specification.
Eduqas
- June papers are made public between 1 and 31 July of the following year.
- November papers between 1 and 31 December of the following year, and January papers between 1 and 28 February of the following year.
- Papers are kept for the life of the specification.
Cambridge International
- The full set is on the School Support Hub, which is for teachers, from results day.
CCEA
- CCEA publishes no lock: it states no period for which a paper is held back.
OxfordAQA
- OxfordAQA: "Approved schools can access secure resources on the OxfordAQA website, such as past question papers and mark schemes."
