School Ninja vs Physics & Maths Tutor (PMT): which is better for past papers?

Short answer

Both are free, and both use real exam board questions, not made-up ones.

Use Physics & Maths Tutor if you want printable PDF packs of questions for a whole topic, revision notes for every subject it covers, or topic questions for Cambridge IGCSE and A Level.

Use School Ninja if you want to practise in the browser or on your phone, see which paper and year each question came from, and read the mark scheme right under the question, with no ads.

Where Physics & Maths Tutor is better

  • Printable packs. A whole sub-topic of questions in one PDF is easy to print or hand out in class.
  • Notes, mind maps and flashcards for every subject it covers. Our notes only cover some courses.
  • Cambridge IGCSE and A Level topic questions. We only have Cambridge papers, not topic questions.
  • Model answers and video solutions on some papers.
  • A long track record, and tutoring if you want it.

Where School Ninja is better

  • You can see where each question came from. Every question shows the paper, series and question number, so you know how recent it is. PMT's topic PDFs don't show this.
  • The mark scheme sits right under the question, on the same page. No second PDF.
  • No ads.
  • Made for the browser and the phone: no downloads, zoom on the mark scheme.
  • Past papers for many more subjects, plus how often each topic comes up and a Foundation / Higher switch.

How we checked

We looked at both sites in a normal browser on 21 October 2026, logged out, and tried the same tasks on each, for example finding an AQA GCSE Biology cell biology question and its mark scheme. Prices and features change, so tell us if something here is out of date and we will fix it.
